Aug 28 - Camaro Thursdays -NIGHT LIES

The return of Camaro Thursdays is finally upon us. Some of you newer fans may not know what that means, so here is a short Bang Camaro history lesson.

When we first started this band, we had no idea what to do. In fact, we were barely a band in the classic sense of the word. We were just some guys that all lived around Boston and got together for some recording sessions. We hadn't played a show yet, and definitely didn't have any fans. What were we going to do with these 6 songs that sounded like 80's hard rock?

We came up with the idea of "Camaro Thursdays" where we would release a new song every other Thursday on MySpace. We thought it was cool but didn't expect much to come of it. The first song we posted was "Bang Camaro." To our surprise, people loved it. We quickly had 10,000 plays and people offering us gigs. Every Camaro Thursday we would release a new song, and people went crazy. We couldn't believe it. A few months later we recorded a few more songs and released an album.

When we went back in the studio, we all knew that we had to bring Camaro Thursdays back. They were too much fun. So, once again, here we are. No record label. Just a bunch of songs and dudes who like to rock.

Our first song this time is a track called "Night Lies." It was originally a song that Mike Oor brought to the band along with his girlfriend/writing partner Heidi Saperstein. It was called "Hot Love" at the time, but slowly shifted into the darker song that it is now. It is also going to be included in the Rock Band 2 video game that comes out in a few weeks. We are really excited about getting new music out there and having it be part of the game.

We also just finished shooting a video for the song with director Michael Pope. He has worked with Ben Folds, The Dresden Dolls, and lots of other acts who are a lot more pro than we are. It will be ready in a few weeks.

So, thanks to everyone who has stuck with us from the beginning to see the return of our strange way of releasing music. Let us know what you think of the new song! And to all of our new fans that we met on the road or at Lollapalooza, it's Camaro Thursday... let's get the weekend started!
